Union Summer 2014 intern program open now

Applications are open for the 2014 Union Summer Internship program.

Union Summer is a three-week program run by Unions NSW, in which interns are placed within a union relevant to their line of work, to experience and understand how a union works.

If successful as a nursing intern, you will receive training and spend time within the NSW Nurses and Midwives Association (NSWNMA), gaining first-hand experience of some of the diverse work of unions.

The internship includes three days of training run by Unions NSW.

At NSWNMA you will be exposed to a range of experiences alongside various union officers.

The 2014 internship program will run from 3- 21 February, 2014.

Applications close at 5pm on Monday, 2 December, 2013.

Selected applicants will be requested to attend an interview to be held on Thursday 12 December.

• Passionate about social justice, the rights of nurses and the role unions play in supporting them?
