Value us: public health campaign – actions
Public health system nurses and midwives strike: 13 November 2024!
After weeks of negotiations, the state government is not willing to put any new money on the table to pay you fairly for the work nurses and midwives do. Not only does it not have a solution to address the interstate pay and gender pay disparities, but it is also actively trying to silence us.
It is clear the government thinks you’re worth only 3% per annum for three years. Shame on them.
Nurses and midwives will be on 24 hour statewide strike beginning from the start of the morning shift on 13 November 2024 to demand the NSW government value our professions.
To coincide with this, we will also be rallying on NSW Parliament from 12PM on Wednesday.
It’s time the NSW government respected and valued the state’s largest female-dominated workforce. NSW nurses and midwives deserve more in 2024.
