- Option for 6-month second rotation through surgical services, mental health, or ICU
- Can also select an 11-month surgical stream.
- Rotation areas include: Direct Entry Perioperative stream: breast surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, colorectal surgery, general surgery, gynaecology, head and neck surgery, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, orthopaedic surgery, otolaryngology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, renal transplant, surgical oncology, upper GI surgery, urology, vascular surgery.
- Acute Care Ward Rotation stream: cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, haematology, immunology, medical oncology, nephrology, neurology, palliative care, psychiatry and psychological services, radiation oncology, rehabilitation medicine, rheumatology, sports medicine, thoracic medicine, vascular medicine. Mental health and ICU.
- Educational opportunities for graduates to specialise including sponsorship in post-grad study and specialisation
- Offers credit in completing the Clinical Honours year through UTAS online.

- Includes a Magnet Professional Practice Pathway (MPPP): rewards competent nurses to progress along the seniority pathway by merit rather than years of service, including being rewarded financially for professional proficiency rather than the public health award rate increase according to years.
